Here's another blog and I am going to dive a bit deeper into 3D Modelling. I have mentioned in the previous blog about summer projects. 3D modelling, rigging/animation, CGI and I am a beginner to the realm of 3D. Why I want to learn 3D? When I first watched How to Train Your Dragon, I was so curious as to how they made a dragon look so realistic and emotionally as well. My interest for 3D continue to grow as I watch more films, play more games etc. I want to start modelling and bring life to my projects. It will be frustrating yet also satisfying to see the end result.
I have tried some 3D modelling during my time in first year and my current year in Game Design course. For 3D modelling you have to understand Typology, UV Unwrapping, Texturing etc. There's so many things I need to learn and understand how to create a simple 3D Model. In the near future, I want to get good at 3D. It will create numerous opportunities for me and I will have different options to choose from. The world of art is competitive and I am willing to take a different path yet be able to create as well. So I can see pursuing 3D modelling as another path for me. To understand 3D more, there is a free 3D software called Blender. I have played around with Blender before and that is trying to create snow particles for a drawing I made. It was hard and I wasn't able to create what I wanted. But this year and onward, I am determined to learn by following YouTube tutorials for blender.
This is another tutorial I am interested in doing as well. I want to learn in creating characters and I am going to start small and work my way up! These are my attempts in working with 3ds Max, Zbrush and Substance Painter
